Discours Du Voyage D’ Outre Mer Au Sainct Sepulcre De Ierusalem ...
Regnaut (=Regnault) travelled to the Levant in 1549. His safe conduct letter, signed by Henri II, is dated February, 1548. He left Venice for the Holy Land on June 1st, 1549, in a party of 14 persons. Little is known of Regnaut, who signs his name in both forms, Regnaut and Regnault. One of the more interesting sections of the work concerns the provisions necessary for travel.
