This work claims to be the first English book to be printed and published in Cyprus. It is in three parts: Johnstone’s verse effusion on the birth of Cyprus, an account of the conquest of Cyprus by the Ottomans by Major D. A. Donne, and the Cyprus Guide and Directory. The third and largest part, the Cyprus Guide and Directory was clearly the most important part of the publication, since the printed wrapper is titled thus.
