Egeo Redivivo ...

Description

Little is known of Piacenza, who declared himself a jurist and Neapolitan on the title-page. However, it seems that Piacenza undertook his voyage in the Aegean under the aegis of Francesco II, Duke of Modena, to whom the work is dedicated. It is particularly valuable for the richness of its information, which Piacenza took from many sources.
