Noè Bianchi [=Bianco] made the pilgrimage in 1527, leaving Venice and travelling via Rhodes to the Holy Land, visiting Cyprus on the return journey. Leaf A3 in this edition contains a statement explaining that Noè Bianchi wrote the book as a guide for pilgrims, thus attaching his name to the anonymous pilgrim’s guide.
