Esperos was a Greek literary and cultural journal that was addressed to Greek communities in Europe, Greece and the Levant, disseminating news from Greece and other Greek regions, with many illustrations. Esperoswas modelled on the illustrated periodicals of the period, for example The Illustrated London News, The Graphic, L’Illustration, etc.
The first seven volumes were published in Leipzig. Volume 8 was published in Athens. The editor was Ioannis Pervanoglous (1831-1911).
