A narrative by Edvard Carleson's and C.F. von Hopken's travel in 1733 from Cyprus to Jerusalem and further on via Egypt to Constantinople. On behalf of the Swedish Trade Dept. they negotiated with the Grand Visir and successfully concluded a treaty of commerce signed 1737, giving the Swedes free access to all Turkish ports. This work is bound with three other Swedish travel accounts unconnected with the Levant.
