The Illustrated London News, the leading illustrated paper of the 19th century, began printing on 14 May 1842. It was founded by Herbert Ingram, a bookseller and printer from Nottingham, and edited by John Bayle. This is volume 73, forming the six months from July to December 1878. There are many articles on Cyprus in this volume.
